eTorque Vectoring
- Twin-Clutch eTorque Vectoring system capable of supporting up to 300 kW per axle for BEV, HEV, and PHEV
- Also available as a Duo Drive (2 E-motor) eTorque Vectoring system for applications that require more than 300 kW power per axle
eDecoupling
- Sayam’s electromagnetic eDecoupling acts as a stand alone or integrated power flow decoupler for EV applications
- Enhance EV range by reducing drag torque of the e-motor and gearbox in primary and secondary eDrive systems
Power Electronics
Sayam’s Traction Power Inverter Module (TPIM)
Used in hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) applications, the TPIM is integrated with the drive unit to provide improved efficiency, range, low-end torque, and high-speed power to provide exact OE performance.
PowerTrain Control Module (PCM)
Functions as the master controller in hybrid and electric vehicles. It is responsible for reading driver input and determining the required wheel torque, while also monitoring safety systems and providing thermal and energy management.
Torque Sensor
Highly precise steering torque measurement
The torque sensor in the electric power steering system measures the torque the driver applies to the steering wheel. Based on this data, the electronic control unit calculates the steering assistance which the electric motor needs to apply. The sensor’s measuring range covers +/−10 Nm. A mechanical angle limiter prevents the torsion bar from being overloaded when higher steering torques are applied.

Our actuators provide column position actuation with low audible and electrical noise. Integrated packaging design – with steering column and optional controller, including memory and communication functions – is available.

Steer-by-Wire
Our SmartDR Wheel™ Steering is an advanced steering software feature that is made possible by SbW. SmartDR Wheel™ Steering adds another level of safety, convenience and comfort for drivers by allowing the steering wheel to remain still during SAE ADAS Levels 2-5 maneuvers, as well as automated driving applications.
Power Tilt & Telescope
Our Power Tilt and Telescope Column allows quick, simple steering wheel position adjustment. Tilt and Telescope motors are accessed by a column-mounted toggle switch that allows the driver to effortlessly adjust the upper column and steering wheel to a desired position.
